Training of Trainers - Youth for global responsibility
NEETS in the employment path

In the period 16 – 23 November 2015 participants from Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Greece, Turkey, Ukraine, Macedonia, Spain, Italy, Portugal, discussed the problems of youth unemployment in the city of Petrosani, Romania. The Erasmus+ project we had won “YOUTH CAN DO IT” allowed us to discuss with other participants the possibilities of involving youth in the labor market. We dedicated some time in discussing the causes of long-term unemployment of young people and the new policies of the European Commission – how these youth policies can be adapted successfully to local activities for working with youth through research, empowerment of jobseekers and combating social exclusion in local and international level. We shared experience and found that tools like positive thinking and opportunities at regional and international level are good incentive for young people.

Our hosts from Romania shared their experience with us as they organized meetings with members of the municipal council, representatives of the business and workers in an employment agency. Together we discussed the best practices and the opportunities to reduce unemployment.
