Education a precondition for the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy

On 16 March 2016 in Grand Hotel Sofia a conference was held on "Education a precondition for the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy " . This is the 12th conference from the series "Competitiveness of Bulgarian economy" which the Economic Policy Institute organized with the support of Hans Seidel "foundation Bulgaria since 2009year Participation in the event were representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science , Bulgaria Industrial Association , German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce , Sofia Tech Park , the "ARC" and Automotive Cluster Bulgaria . The forum creates conditions for expert discussion on the middle-term and long-term possibilities in front of Bulgarian economy for reading highest levels of competitive.

The thematic focus of the event was the role of secondary vocational education and other higher education for achieving sustainable economic growth based on the development of sectors with added values and strong export orientation.

The attendees had the opportunity to get acquainted with the experience of Germany in the introduction and application of dual professional education summarized by Dr. Klaus Fizinger , Regional Director for Southeast Europe, "Hans Seidel" and Maximilian Erhard , Manager Cluster "dual vocational education" at the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce. The conference had reinforced practical as panelists defended their theses with statics.
